Join us on an exciting adventure in western Sweden’s only ecopark.
Together with a guide, you will learn more about the red deer and listen to the deer’s astonishing bellow.
During the autumn evening we embark on an exciting journey on Hunneberg. We make our way on foot and when we approach the red deer’s territory we sneak quietly closer. Silently we watch and listen for the red deer while the guide tells you more about them – this charmer on the mountain. Did you know, for example, that the red deer can reach a weight of 25 kilos? Or that it is the third largest deer in the world?
The best time to see red deer is during a few weeks in September. During the autumn, the Royal Hunt Museum Elk Hill on Hunneberg offer regular departures on Tuesdays 1, 8, 15 and 22 of September.
During the safari you will be hiking so you should wear sturdy shoes/boots and weather-resistant clothing. The hike starts at 18:00 (6 p.m.) and takes about 3 hours. Start from the Royal Hunt Museum Elk Hill.
